Jettys Redfish

Here is a couple shots from today's charters 7/12/08. The fish were caught on fresh cut mullet in about 25 feet of water at the Charleston Jetties.
The bite was slow....................

The largest fish was 44" and the other one you see here was 38". Five fish were boated.

Sandy Point - Abaco Bonefishing

Sandy Point is a very small fishing village at the extreme southern tip of Abaco Island. The people are marvelous as is the fishing. It lies only 4 mile from the Disney Island known as Castaway Cay- which in its former life was called Gorda Cay. It is spectacular in its beauty and holds large numbers of hungry bones. It is a short boat ride from town and Pete and Gay's Guesthouse where we stay while in Sandy Point.

Caught with Capt Brian Vaughn

OFF THE HOOK CHARTERS Brian Vaughn
The fishing has been great the past few weeks for Reds. The tides have been great for sight fishing to tailing fish. My clients and I have been doing really well using crab patterns on the fly and jerk baits or finger mullet if using spinning gear. Also the Tarpon action is really starting to pick up in the Port Royal sound there where hundreds of Tarpon busting in the schools of menhaden yesterday but it is really tough to get a bite when the bait is that thick out there.
